Barbera Lorenzo #3 EVOO is a truly Sicilian EVOO, made entirely from organic Biancolilla olives. A cultivar native to Sicily renowned for producing aromatic oils of great quality, the Barbera Biancolilla olives are grown high in the hills at more than 700 metres above sea level so as to optimize the antioxidant polyphenol content, as well as the aromatic value. The result? A slightly dense oil, golden yellow with green almond aromas, a mild fruity flavour, and a slightly peppery finish—just the thing for seafood dishes and dressing summer salads.
Barbera’s roots trace back to 1888, when Lorenzo Barbera and his brother Vincenzo set up a farm just outside Palermo to cultivate olives and citrus fruit. Fourth-generation Manfredi Barbera has been a scrupulous and creative ambassador for the best of Sicilian agricultural and manufacturing tradition.
