The La Bailonga Sangria is full of citrus and apples and all that good summer stuff with a nice low 7% alcohol. Smooth and light, it’s just as ideal for a leisurely lunch as a summer barbeque. Great over ice in a tall glass, or maybe add a splash of Cointreau and some more freshly chopped fruit for the full effect.
Dating back over a century to 1917, Bodegas el Progreso is Spain’s oldest winemaking cooperative company, but the cooperative doesn’t rest on its laurels. While maintaining its focus on local varietals like Tempranillo, Airén, Verdejo and Macabeo, it also grows international grapes like Chardonnay, Syrah, Merlot, and Sauvignon. We can say for certain that it’s hit it out of the park with the delightful La Bailonga Sangria.
