The 250ml La Chinata EVOO is produced from Manzanilla Cacereña olives harvested in remote Sierra de Gata at the extreme north-west edge of Spain’s Extremadura region. Beloved for their texture and flavour, most of these olives are destined for direct consumption. La Chinata EVOO uses the part of the harvest which is too small for the table, so the oil retains all the characteristics that make the olives so treasured, particularly the sweet fruity taste and dense ripe fruit aroma. The elegant tin is light and easy to store due to its shape, and also protects the EVOO from oxygen and light, preserving the quality of the oil.
La Chinata started out in 1932 when the Oliva family bought its first olive grove in northern Extremadura. The name La Chinata derives from the word used to describe the residents of Malpartida, the Extremadura village where the Oliva family has its roots. Over the years, the company has expanded from extra virgin olive oil production to the development of beautiful olive oil-based cosmetics and gourmet foods that draw on the natural properties of EVOO. The La Chinata commitment to quality in everything it does is apparent in the 250ml La Chinata EVOO.
