These Cordero steamed chestnuts—100% Italian grown—have been carefully steamed, peeled and sealed into their bag to keep them at their freshest. Rich in vitamin B, iron, folic acid, mineral salts, vegetable proteins, complex carbohydrates, and fibre, they make a great natural gluten-free snack. They’re also delicious chopped into a stuffing or dressing, made into candy, used in Mont Blanc and other classic desserts, or blitzed into a rich soup.
The Cordero family has been crafting and milling grains since 1958. Luigi Cordero launched his company Molino di Borgo San Dalmazzo in 1958 in Italy’s Piedmont to grind local grain for local bakeries. To celebrate their grandfather’s achievement, the family recently rebranded under his name, expanding their range and their markets without losing the integrity, authenticity and goodness that made the original mill so beloved in Borgo San Dalmazzo. The Cordero steamed chesnuts are a great advertisement for Cordero’s intense and abiding “passione italiana.”
