Protected from the sun by a gorgeous Sicilian-patterned metal tin, the oil’s light fruitiness and sweet almond finish make it a versatile addition to a salads, raw vegetables, vegetable soups and vegetarian dishes, as well as with fish. The company’s roots trace back to 1888, when Lorenzo Barbera and his brother Vincenzo set up a farm just outside Palermo to cultivate olives and citrus fruit.
