The premium EVOO range Lorenzo has been recognized in multiple prestigious international competitions, including the BioFach Olive Oil Competition, the Guida Gambero Rosso awards, and, just this year the Specialty Food Association’s sofi™ Awards.

No surprise, really—the Barbera family have been refining their olive oils for generations, crafting the best of Sicily’s olive crops into EVOOs of deceptively simple perfection. In fact, the Lorenzo range is named after current representative Manfredi’s Barbera’s young son Lorenzo, the fifth Barbera generation.

Lorenzo No. 3 is a truly Sicilian EVOO, made entirely from organic Biancolilla olives. A cultivar native to Sicily renowned for producing aromatic oils of great quality, the Barbera Biancolilla olives are grown high in the hills at more than 700 metres above sea level so as to optimize the antioxidant polyphenol content, as well as the aromatic value.

The result? A slightly dense oil, golden yellow with green almond aromas, a mild fruity flavour, and a slightly peppery finish—just the thing for seafood dishes and dressing those summer salads that are now just around the corner.
