Container alert: we have a couple of containers steaming into port this week, so it will be all systems go at the warehouse!

Keep an eye out for a restock of our fabulous Mandrarossa wines from Sicily—we love the way that they fuse tradition with innovation and international grape varieties with indigenous varietals that been intertwined with locals’ lives for centuries.

For all those lovers of authentic Italian licorice, our Menozzi de Rosa lines will be fully stocked again. Because Menozzi use actual licorice root rather than just flavourings, they pack maximum licorice taste into their products with a lot less sugar.

If you haven’t tried the Deseo range of sweet and savoury biscuits out of Tuscany, this is your opportunity. Deseo takes great pride in creating healthy, delicious products free of food preservatives, palm oil and GMO raw materials. From traditional cantuccini to American-style cookies, the Deseo range presents beautifully and tastes even better.

Another tasty range to watch out for is Pan dei Massi, a line of Italian breadsticks named after the millstones used in the ancient Piedmont flour mills. This family business has been operating out of Piedmont for over 61 years, developing and refining traditional recipes using prime local ingredients.

We’re excited to open the new range of coffee equipment from Ilsa, an Italian company dating back to 1946 that produces some of the world’s most iconic stovetop espresso makers. If it means over-caffeinating for a few weeks while we try everything out, that’s a price we’re prepared to pay!

Also back in stock this week will be our workhorse Italian stock cubes from Fattoria, which have saved many a slightly insipid dish; buffalo mozzarella (at last!); and the Siviero Maria gelato range (including the gourmet flavours that were so popular last time).

All in all, we’re expecting to have a busy but very satisfying week!
