The Casa Vecchio Chilli Flatbread are thin handcrafted flatbreads baked to a delicious crispness and given an extra chilli pepper kick. Made with simple, natural ingredients such as flour, water and the finest extra virgin olive oil, they offer a great alternative to traditional bread as well as the perfect accompaniment to antipasti and cheese boards. In Piedmont, Italy, these flatbreads are also known as “Lingue di suocera,” or “mother-in-law’s tongues,” in reference to the supposedly long, sharp tongues of mothers-in-law!
Family business Casa Vecchio has been producing artisanal breadsticks in Piedmont since 1860. Their breadsticks quickly became so famous throughout the area that long lines of customers waited for the daily baking of the rubatà, inhaling the delicious aromas coming from the oven that wafted hundreds of metres down the road. Six generations on, the family is still honing and refining its baking skills, which are now being enjoyed around the world. The Casa Vecchio passion for quality is evident in every product, including the Casa Vecchio Chilli Flatbread.
