The El Gran Cardenal Cabra con Pimentón, a Spanish goat’s milk cheese coated with natural paprika, has a creamy, semi-soft texture with an attractive reddish colour and slightly sharp aftertaste from the paprika. Just the thing to spread over rustic bread and top with sun-dried tomatoes and capers!
El Gran Cardenal was founded in 1951 by master cheesemaker Francisco Martín Laredo in the town of Torrelaguna, Madrid. In 1975, the company moved its production to the farming area of Medina del Campo in the heart of Castilla y León to take advantage of the richness and quality of milk in this area.
